My B Corp journey began with a question: what does it truly mean to be a force for good? Mine started with Dr KK Tse, who first introduced me to the B Corp movement during my time at Dream Impact. I am still moved by the B Champion course in August 2022, sitting with a group of certified B Corp founders as they shared their journeys as honest stories of struggle and transformation. That was when I understood that certification is not a badge but a commitment.
I went through the process myself as an applicant for Dream Impact, learning the practical implementation tools of the standards from the inside since 2023. Along the way, I completed my academic quest on social innovation for sustainable development, and visited B Corps across Europe and Latin America—from Crepes & Waffles in Bogotá to Farm Rio in Brazil—seeing firsthand that this movement is alive everywhere. The B Corp Movement is a living, breathing ecosystem of entrepreneurs reimagining what business can be.
This holistic, “above and beyond” approach — embedding regeneration, circularity, and human rights into the core business model — is the future. Third-party audit validates it. Trust and hope, as Jane Goodall and Christopher Marquis remind us, are built by our daily business decisions and actions.
I return to Hong Kong with one clear aspiration: to contribute back to my hometown by elevating traditional Hong Kong brands and legacy companies to join the B Corp movement—not for compliance, but for purposeful profit that cares for the environment, community, and society. I hope to bring social entrepreneurs across sectors to join this movement in their respective industries and roles.
I see a potential for collective action—being a force for good and raising the bar together as social entrepreneurs. Our Chief Standards Officer Clay Brown suggests at B Corp Asia Summit 2026, “you are the standard in action.”
My background in entrepreneurship, social and environmental development, circularity, and business and human rights has given me a foundation. Now, I look forward to joining forces with Hong Kong’s impact leaders—bringing capital investment, mid and large corporations, SMEs, and regulators together to raise their bar and begin their B Impact journey.
Thank you to everyone who has shaped this path.
